Can i put a mouse glu board out too catch garter snakes?

i know what your thinking youll hurt the snake no i wont if you spray pam oil on them they slid right off .. if i can put a board out do i bait it andwhere do i put it i have alot of woods in my backyard its big i have somehigh gr not really never saw anything in it and a swamp the swamp has poisonious snakes tho so i wont use i t there and i have a pile of bricks with some snakes in there where should i put it
