Can anyone give me some tips on healing?

My main is a level 80 Priest, which i just respecced from shadow to holy yesterday.As shadow, he had fairly good gear, only needign a few more epics to be full epic. After i respecced i re gemed some of my gear with mp5 gems to help me out. the only piece of real healing gear i currently have is t7 gloves. I also downloaded xperl as many friends have recommended it for me to heal with, ive tried healbot and dont really like it.I was wondering if anyone could give me some tips on healing, as this is the first time ive ever gone holy.I have never really paid much attention to how other healers do it, so im pretty clueless at this point. Any kind of tips or information would help out alot, and i thank you in advance for it.
